Dr. Mark DiStefano has been a physician for thirty-nine years. Dr. DiStefano graduated from Georgetown University Medical School in 1979 and is board certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, and is a Fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. Dr. DiStefano is world-renowned and has been described by his peers as one of the leading hair transplant surgeons in the world. In 1994, he founded and grew one of the largest hair restoration practices in the country. After selling his former practice, in 2019 he joined Medi Tresse full time and opened Medi Tresse Surgical. Dr. DiStefano has completed over 8,000 hair restoration procedures throughout his career.

Over the last 15 years Dr. Mary Wendel has become one of the leading experts in the treatment of non-surgical hair loss, with a focus on the treatment of female hair loss. Meeting with and treating hundreds of women over the years, she has witnessed first-hand not only the physical, but emotional toll of hair loss, and the impact it has on her patients’ confidence and self-esteem. She became intensely interested and passionate about discovering and offering effective treatments to slow or stop hair loss and even regrow hair. Eventually, her own thinning hair created an even deeper understanding and empathy of the hair loss and restoration issues unique to women. In June 2015, Dr. Wendel opened the first Medi Tresse medical practice in Wellesley, MA, offering hair loss solutions exclusively for women.
